Torta Cubana

Veny’s is located at the Beautiful Island Square, Hilton Head’s only permanent food truck court, located at 15 Marshland Road. We had heard that this food court was a place we needed to check out, so Andy headed over for lunch. First off, this is a nice setup with covered eating space and a nice bathroom facility. It was a very difficult decision, but settled on Veny’s, though it could easily have been another truck. It sounded like this particular torta might be right up Andy’s alley, and, uh-huh, it sure was. This thing was ginormous. Never saw the details, but it came with at least four meats, chorizo, ham and pork, plus I think some sliced hot dog, not really sure. It had a fried egg, big slices of avocado, plus lettuce, onion and jalapeño. There may have been more, but Andy lost track. At the end of the day, this was a large and incredibly tasty sandwich. We’ve never experienced anything quite like it. Andy would 100% order this behemoth again, but would bring a friend next time. Oh, and they do take credit cards, so all good there as well.
